Lisa has been working with us at Neu for a few months now and has excelled in her role as kitchen designer. Coming from a designer background, we jumped at the chance to have Lisa on our team.
What do you get up to in your spare time?
I have two young boys who keep me on my toes, so definitely don’t get much ‘me’ time. We enjoy family days out around the area – some of our favourite days out are theme parks, indoor soft play and walks.
Where is your favourite holiday destination?
Definitely Florida! In fact, my husband and I got married in Florida and had a Disney themed wedding surrounded by family and friends – it was so much fun.
What is your favourite food?
I love Toby Carvery – we go there as often as possible. The best part is definitely the yorkies – although they’ve started to serve you just one on your plate now, hope it wasn’t my fault as I used to pile on at least 3!
How did you get into design?
Design was my strongest subject at school and I really enjoyed being creative in the classroom. From school I went straight into a design role at another kitchen showroom and worked my way up from kitchen advisor to consultant. I worked there for 9 years.
What would be your dream kitchen?
If I had the right style house, I would love a timeless creation with a farmhouse style. It would have to be open plan, as I love the feeling of integrating the living, dining and cooking space into one -it’s way more sociable. I would want it to have a touch a modern with some of the latest mod cons such as a hide and slide oven door, a quooker for instant hot water and wifi appliances!
What kitchen trends will 2020 bring?
Personally, I think we will see an increase in marble effect doors. I love the design, the quality and think they could fit a large range of kitchens we offer.
Come and meet Lisa in our showroom in Bishops Cleeve, and start your kitchen planning journey with Neu.
